Spratz International

Spratz is a family owned business that Vickie Thomas established in 1991. Vickie began making leotards for her 4 daughters and other members of the local community from her home in Napier, New Zealand.
10 years on when demand was exceeding our New Zealand factory’s capabilities the decision was made to move production to Indonesia. Quality has always been a high priority and to ensure quality was not compromised, Vickie moved to Indonesia to oversee this operation. With this new factory came opportunities to expand our range into the world renowned brands we have become.
Paul Wright offered his company Dance Pacific to Spratz in 2006 and with the purchase of this company came a warehouse in Queensland Australia and a shoe factory in Indonesia. Although the shoe factory provided Vickie with a whole new challenge as the art of shoe making was one she knew little about, Vickie is now proud to say that the new skills and knowledge she has gained in shoe design and construction has enabled her to engineer some of the very best dance shoes, with added flexibility, comfort, and quality.
After the purchase of Dance Pacific, Spratz did not want to see the Dance Pacific name fade away and set about branding a chain of Dance Pacific retail stores.
